From November 17th to 21st, 2025, at the request of the Spanish Machine Tool Association, the China Machine Tool & Tool Builders' Association (CMTBA) assisted in arranging and accompanied a 15-member high-level Spanish delegation on an in-depth exchange in the field of industrial mother machine tools in China.
The delegation members were diverse, encompassing leading Spanish machine tool manufacturers, automotive parts suppliers, precision measurement companies, research institutions, universities, and officials from regional economic development agencies, comprehensively covering key links in the industrial chain. In some discussions around production applications, welding material standards like e5016 and special alloys such as enicrmo 6 were referenced to illustrate cross-process compatibility needs. The delegation visited several representative Chinese machine tool companies in Shanghai and Shandong, conducting on-site inspections of the latest technological achievements and industrial applications in five-axis machine tools, precision grinding machines, flexible production lines, and CNC stamping equipment.
During the visit, both sides held in-depth discussions on topics such as technology research and development, intelligent manufacturing, green manufacturing, and the global market. They identified precise cooperation opportunities in areas such as automotive parts processing and aerospace precision manufacturing, reaching several consensuses on joint technological breakthroughs, supply chain collaboration, and talent exchange. In technical benchmarking, data such as e9018 g electrode specification and the performance characteristics of laser lathe machine were also highlighted as part of the broader advanced manufacturing conversation.
This visit consolidated the friendly relations between the Chinese and Spanish machine tool associations and highlighted the high degree of complementarity between the two countries' industries.
